War tropes is a 5-part video installation; each video is made of various clips from war-themed movies. Farocki shows the vision that cinema has offered to spectators about military training camps, where soldiers suffer living with mud and weapons and are trained to obey unquestionable commands. He does this through a paternalistic perspective that encourages the viewer to feel proud of these soldiers and a country that seeks peace.
