(ENG) The work of Carlos Casas stands in the crossover of documentary film, sound and visual arts, trying to extend the boundaries of contemporary visual experience, with the manners of an anthropologist and the goals of a visual artist, his works document with poetry and accuracy environments and people who can be found in the limits of our planet.

(CAST) La obra de Carlos Casas se sitúa entre el cine documental, y el arte visual y sonoro, tratando de ampliar las fronteras de la experiencia visual contemporánea, como lo haría un antropólogo pero teniendo en cuenta los objetivos de un artista. Sus obras documentan con poesía y precisión los lugares y las personas que habitan los límites de nuestro planeta.

(ENG) Carlos Casas (b. Barcelona, 1974) is a filmmaker and artist whose artistic practice encompasses film, sound and the visual arts. Casas studied Fine Arts, Film and Design between Barcelona and Vienna. His films have been screened and awarded at festivals around the world, such as at the Venice Film Festival, the International Film Festival of Rotterdam, the International Film Festival of Buenos Aires, the International Film Festival of Mexico, the FID of Marseille, etc. His visual and sound works have been presented and exhibited at international art festivals, institutions and museums, such as the Tate Modern, London, Fondation Cartier, Palais de Tokyo, Centre Pompidou, Paris, Hangar Bicocca, Milan, CCCB Barcelona, Matadero Madrid, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía Madrid, MAAT Lisbon, GAM Torino, Bozar, Kunsten Festival des Arts Bruxelles. ...Retrospectives of his work have been presented at the Cineteca Mexicana, CINEMATEK Bruxelles, DocumentaMadrid and Cineteca Matadero in 2019. His NDT installation is being presented at the Bangkok Biennale, and he is preparing projects for the Shanghai Biennale and the Venice Architecture Biennale 2021.

(CAST) Carlos Casas, (Barcelona, 1974) es un cineasta y artista cuya práctica artística engloba el cine, el sonido y las artes visuales. Casas estudió Bellas Artes, Cine y Diseño entre Barcelona y Viena. Sus películas han sido proyectadas y premiadas en festivales de todo el mundo, como el Festival de Cine de Venecia, el Festival Internacional de Cine de Rotterdam, el Festival Internacional de Cine de Buenos Aires, el Festival Internacional de Cine de México, el FID de Marsella, etc. Sus trabajos visuales y sonoros han sido presentados y exhibidos en Festivales, Instituciones y museos internacionales de arte, como la Tate Modern, Londres, Fondation Cartier, Palais de Tokyo, Centro Pompidou, París, Hangar Bicocca, Milán, CCCB Barcelona, Matadero Madrid,  Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía Madrid, MAAT Lisbon, GAM Torino, Bozar, Kunsten Festival des Arts Bruxelles...Retrospectivas de sus obra se han presentado en la Cineteca Mexicana, CINEMATEK Bruxelles, DocumentaMadrid y Cineteca Matadero en 2019. Su instalación END esta siendo presentado en la Bienal de Bangkok, y prepara proyectos para la Biennale de Shanghái y la Biennale de Arquitectura de Venecia 2021.
