Mural.

(ENG) Mural made by Daniela Ortiz in company of her son Inti Puma in April 2020 during the confinement and state of alarm caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The Mural approaches death from a non Eurocentric perspective while putting it at the center of life. At the same time the mural makes a critical reading of the way the Spanish authorities and institutions handled the pandemic while reinforcing institutional racism and individualistic notions of care. On the oposite side the ways migrant and racialized people organized in communitarian ways to deal with COVID19 is depicted. 

(CAST) Mural realizado por Daniela Ortiz en compañía de su hijo Inti Puma en el mes de Abril de 2020 durante el periodo de confinamiento y estado de alarma producto de la pandemia del covid 19. El Mural aborda la muerte desde una perspectiva no eurocéntrica situándola en el centro de la vida. En un lado del mural se narra la forma en que las autoridades e instituciones españolas gestionaron la pandemia reforzando el racismo institucional y las nociones individualistas de cuidado mientras en el lado opuesto, se describen las formas en que las personas migrantes, racializadas y del sur global se organizaron de manera comunitaria para lidiar con el COVID19.
