Entre 1983 y 1985, Esther Ferrer fue invitada por festivales de vídeo en España y reflexionó sobre lo que podía producir la asociación antinómica a priori de "Performance" y "TV". ¿Cómo actuar con una imagen pregrabada, controlada, y privada de oportunidad y vida? ¿Cómo hacer del vídeo un elemento activo? Esther Ferrer juega con su imagen filmada, con su cuerpo físicamente presente y con el público a veces atrapado. La exposición Performance TV ofrece una reconstrucción física y mental de estos proyectos, algunos de los cuales nunca se han realizado, y los pone en diálogo con obras de otros artistas.

In 1983 and 1985, Esther Ferrer was invited by video festivals in Spain and reflected on what the a priori antinomic association of "Performance" and "TV" could produce. How to perform with a pre-recorded image, thus controlled and deprived of chance and life? How to make video an active element? Esther Ferrer plays with her filmed image, with her physically present body, and with the audience sometimes trapped. The Performance TV exhibition offers a physical and mental reconstruction of these projects, some of which have never been realized, and puts them in dialogue with works by other artists.
