STATEMENT

(ENG) The multidisciplinary work of Eulàlia Valldosera explores the psychology of perception. Taking her body as the receptacle of external reality in relation to architecture and everyday objects, she develops projects of documentary and participatory nature in order to investigate human behavior.

(CAST) El trabajo multidisciplinar de Eulàlia Valldosera explora la psicología de la percepción. Tomando su cuerpo como receptáculo de la realidad exterior en relación con la arquitectura y los objetos cotidianos, desarrolla proyectos de naturaleza documental y participativa con el objetivo de investigar el comportamiento humano. 

BIO

(ENG) Eulàlia Valldosera studied at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, and in the 90s she moved to the Netherlands where she continued her training at the Rietvel Akademi. The Reina Sofia Museum, the Witte de Wit and the Tàpies Foundation have held solo shows of the artist. She has participated in major international art events such as the Venice Biennale, the Sao Paulo, Sydney, Istanbul and Lyon Biennials, among others. Her work has also been part of the Skulptur Project in Munster and Manifesta. In 2002 she was awarded the National Prize of Plastic Arts of the Government of Catalonia.

(CAST) Eulàlia Valldosera estudió en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Barcelona y en los 90 se trasladó a los Países Bajos donde continuó su formación en la Rietvel Akademi. El Museo Reina Sofía, el Witte de Wit y la Fundación Antoni Tàpies han organizado exposiciones individuales de la artista. Ha participado en grandes eventos internacionales como las Bienales de Venecia, Sao Paulo, Sydney, Estanbul y Lyon, entre otras. Su trabajo también ha formado parte del Skuptur Project en Münster y la Manifesta. En 2002 fue galardonada con el Premio Nacional de Artes Plásticas del Gobierno de Cataluña.
