[ENG] The series retrieves the “supposed” fieldwork from an unknown German naturalist and teratologist Peter Amesienhaufen and his assistant, Hans von Kubert, who had discovered new animal species.

The work is composed of documentation of phantasmagorical photographs of invented animals such as the “ictiocapra aerofagi”. The project plays with the fact that Natural Sciences are still an abandoned territory for the invention of stories, given that nature we only know a partial part of the natural world.

[CAST] La serie rescata el “supuesto” trabajo de campo de un desconocido naturalista y teratólogo alemán Peter Ameisenhaufen y su ayudante, Hans von Kubert, quien había descubierto nuevas especies de animales.

El trabajo se lleva a cabo con la documentación de fotos fantasmagóricas de animales inventados como la “ictiocapra aerofagi”. Juega con el factor de que las Ciencias Naturales son aún un terreno abonado para inventar historias, ya que de la naturaleza tan sólo se conoce una parte.
