A green filter placed over a copy of Mao’s Little Red Book, a 1967 French edition: Citations du President Mao Tsétoung. Green swallows red just as the exhibited and aesthetical object swallows the ideological and one. The political gesture is precisely to reveal this mechanism of appropriation.
