(ENG) Los pintas is a theatre piece (an expanded theater play, we might say) that puts on stage certain sensations, comments and setbacks of these artists invited to present their work in Athens and Kassel during the 2017 dOCUMENTA .The rewriting of the piece is made from the text Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett (taken from two different scenes of the famous theatre play) that perfectly exemplified the wait, the expectation, the hopes of the artists (the flamenco dancers and gypsies who showed their work in a different field than usual) when presenting their work, in front of the public, before the experts. Poetry, song and dance were subject to that estrangement that served with foresight the text of Beckett: the evaluation of the work of art from the economic point of view, the displacement of ways of doing and their nicknames (crazy, schizo, psychotic), the different declassification to which artists submit themselves in their activity. The photographs were taken at the Numismatic Museum of Athens, dedicated to the numismatic archeology, decorated with Greek archaeological remains designed by the German architect Ernst Ziller for the German archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann, during the 19th century. The ornamental details come from that discovery of Greece made precisely by the German historiography.
