Phillip Earl Niblock (October 2, 1933 – January 8, 2024) was as a prominent figure among contemporary experimental composers and artist. With a remarkable six-decade career dedicated to producing music, film, photography, dance performances, and improvised theater. Niblock represents the idea of intermedia artist working with music and images and creating multimedia works that merges the disciplines.

Since 1985, Niblock has held the role of director at Experimental Intermedia, a foundation dedicated to avant-garde music located in New York, where he also serves as the curator for the foundation’s record label.

For this first solo show of Phil Niblock’s in Spain, we will present some iconic series of his photographs & films produced during the sixties from 1966-1969.
