[ENG]The exhibition brings together seven artists the gallery has never exhibited before. Basel Abbas & Ruanne Abou-Rahme (Palestine/USA), Lawrence Abu Hamdan (Lebanon), Dineo Seshee Bopape (South Africa), Joshua Mosley (USA), Mohamed Monaiseer (Egypt), and Ania Soliman (Poland/Egypt) will present works from various media including video, installation, painting, and sculpture. The pieces tackle concepts and themes ranging from archeology, history, and politics to existential exploration, the feminine, the digital and the mystical. The show invites the artists to make their first introduction - their first impression – to Sfeir-Semler's Beirut space.
[CAST]La exposición reúne a siete artistas con los que la galería nunca había trabajado antes. Basel Abbas y Ruanne Abou-Rahme (Palestina / EE.UU.), Lawrence Abu Hamdan (Líbano), Dineo Seshee Bopape (Sudáfrica), Joshua Mosley (EE.UU.), Mohamed Monaiseer (Egipto) y Ania Soliman (Polonia / Egipto) Las obras utilizan diversos medios incluyendo video, instalación, pintura y escultura. Las piezas abordan conceptos y temas que van desde la arqueología, la historia y la política hasta la exploración existencial, lo femenino, lo digital y lo místico. Esta exposición invita a los artistas a hacer su primera introducción - su primera impresión - al espacio de Beirut de Sfeir-Semler.
