(ENG) The iterations and variations that structure her work—and that can be seen most clearly in pieces such as Self-Portrait in Time, Poem of Prime Numbers, Spatial Projects, Pi, or The Book of Sex—express a constant desire for openness, while also revealing a tendency to operate through relational and serial processes. Esther Ferrer. Fold and Process is articulated through fragments of these series. The exhibition presents some of the most emblematic works of her career, as well as models, maquettes, scores, tests, sketches, documents, and even projects that were never realized. By bringing these materials into contact with the different approaches that have been taken to them, rather than offering an unchanging portrait of specific moments, the exhibition opens onto an essay on multiplicity—one in which, in Ferrer’s words, “the process is as important as the work.”
(CAST) "Las iteraciones y variaciones que vertebran su trabajo —y que pueden verse de forma más evidente en piezas como Autorretrato en el tiempo, Poema de los números primos, Proyectos espaciales, Pi o El libro del sexo— desprenden un anhelo constante de apertura, pero también cierta tendencia a operar desde lo relacional y lo seriado. Esther Ferrer. Pliegue y proceso se articula entre fragmentos de estas series. En las salas se muestran algunas de las piezas más emblemáticas de su carrera, así como modelos, maquetas, partituras, pruebas, bocetos, documentos e incluso proyectos que nunca llegaron a realizarse. De esta forma, al poner en contacto estos materiales con las diferentes aproximaciones que se han hecho de ellos, más que una semblanza inalterable de momentos concretos, la exposición se abre hacia un ensayo de lo múltiple. Uno en el que, en palabras de Ferrer, «el proceso es tan importante como la obra»."
