(ENG) Máquinas de vivir is a project, curated by Pedro G Romero and María García, around the three-way dialogue between radical architecture, social criticism and flamenco representations.
Choreographies, music, actions, images, paintings, photographs, films, models, books, documents and scenographies propose the temporal-space adjustment between three different and linked fields of production, three ways of understanding the territory, the city and the house, different and related forms of being in the domestic space, architecture and urbanism, reinventions of the flows of circulation, mobility and ways of walking, whose present development starts in the second half of the twentieth century.
Máquinas de vivir takes its title from the first locution made by Federico García Lorca of Le Corbusier's famous machine à habiter, a key figure of modern urbanism and architecture. The term is applied by Lorca to the modest home of a flamenco aficionado in Granada.
(CAST) Máquinas de vivir es un proyecto, comisariado por Pedro G Romero y María García, en torno al diálogo a tres bandas entre la arquitectura radical, la crítica social y las representaciones flamencas.
A través de coreografías, músicas, acciones, imágenes, pinturas, fotografías, películas, maquetas, libros, documentos y escenografías propone el ajuste espacio-temporal entre tres campos de producción distintos y vinculados entre sí, tres maneras de entender el territorio, la ciudad y la casa, formas distintas y relacionadas de estar en el espacio doméstico, la arquitectura y el urbanismo, reinvenciones de los flujos de circulación, de movilidad y de paseo, cuyo desarrollo en el presente arranca en la segunda mitad del siglo XX.
"Máquinas de vivir toma su título de la locución primera que hiciera Federico García Lorca del famoso machine à habiter de Le Corbusier, figura clave y original del urbanismo y la arquitectura modernas. El término funcionalista lo aplica Lorca a la modesta vivienda de un flamenco de Granada.
