[ENG] àngels barcelona  is pleased to present for the first time in a gallery the work of IM Heung-soon (b. 1969), the Korean artist who obtained the Silver Lion for Promising Young Artist during the last edition of the Venice Biennale with his work Factory Complex (2014-15). Staging the singularity of memory presents Factory Complex (2014-15) and Reincarnation (2015), by which he explores the impact of Korea’s modernisation in its social fabric as well as the burden of grief left on women who have survived the trauma of war in recent history.

[CAST] àngels barcelona se complace en presentar por primera vez en una galería el trabajo de IM Heung-soon (n. 1969, Corea del Sur), artista que con su obra Factory Complex (2014-15) obtuvo el León de Plata como Artista Novel en la 56ª edición de la Bienal de Venecia. Staging the singularity of memory muestra Factory Complex (2014-15) y Reincarnation (2015), dos de las últimas obras realizadas por el artista, con las que explora el impacto de la modernización en el tejido social de Corea del Sur, así como la triste huella marcada en aquellas mujeres que han sobrevivido al trauma de la guerra en una no muy lejana historia.
