The series Dioramas is part of an inedit project from Joan Fontcuberta in which he alludes to the obsession in occidental culture for creating duplicates of reality, as Umberto Eco does in his book “Travels in Hyperreality” (1983). During his travels through the five continents, the artist visited museums that include reconstructions of certain historical episodes in its display cases. The reason why he contemplates this, is because of the efford to comprehend and the intention of not forgetting.
