Dentro de los actos del 30 aniversario y en el marco de Sonar+D, la Fundació Mies van der Rohe tiene el placer de invitaros a la inauguración de la instalación sonora "Microtonal Wall" de Tristan Perich.
Microtonal Wall es una instalación que consta de 1.500 altavoces de audio sobre un panel de aluminio de 7,5 metros. Cada altavoz emite un solo sonido, resultado de dividir en microtonos seis octavas en un continuo de frecuencias individuales. El espectador experimenta espacialmente la transición del ruido blanco al tono cuando se acerca a la obra, y en última instancia, a la resolución de un único tono, cuando llega a poner su oreja sobre uno de los altavoces. Esta obra explora las limitaciones finitas de los medios digitales, y alude al infinito a través de una estructura repetida.

In the frame of the 30th anniversary of The Mies Van der Rohe Foundation and within the frame of Sonar+D Microtonal Wall by Tristan Perich will be displayed at The Mies Van der Roher Pavulion ftom the 14th to the 18th of June.
1,500 speakers arranged in a 25-foot oblong panel, each playing a sound of a different pitch but at the same time disturbingly close to the speakers that surround it – this is Microtonal Wall by Tristan Perich. Since its creation by the New York artist in 2011, it has been exhibited in museums all around the world, including the much celebrated ‘Soundings: a Contemporary Score’ exhibition at MoMA in 2013. Microtonal Wall became an influential piece in the contemporary sound creation and the most distinctive exponent of the career of this young artist and musician, together with the unique 1-Bit Symphony.
