[ENG] Butterfly, the installation by Jaime Pitarch (Barcelona, 1963) at àngels barcelona, is an action, achieved through the use of simple elements that are arranged in a subtle and nearly unnoticeable way, that questions the spectacular side of art. In this piece we find the usual distinctive elements of Pitarch's work: the poetics of the everyday, humor, playfulness, tension and precariousness. As part of the program of exhibitions of the gallery, this show fits as a new reading of historical works, a setback and thus as a way out from the usual dynamics of presenting the new.
[CAST] La instalación Butterfly (mariposa) de Jaime Pitarch (Barcelona, 1963) en àngels barcelona, es una acción llevada a cabo mediante la utilización de elementos sencillos que, dispuestos de un modo inicialmente imperceptible cuestiona la espectacularización del arte. En esta obra dialogan las líneas de trabajo habituales de Pitarch: la poética de lo cotidiano, el sentido del humor, el juego, la tensión y la precariedad. La exposición se inserta en la programación de la galería como relectura de trabajos históricos, a contratiempo, huyendo de las dinámicas habituales de presentación de la novedad.
