Through the looking glass is a colossal project accumulation of anonymous photographs found on the Internet that pertain to a new genre of images: reflectograms, self-portraits taken in front of a mirror, wherein the registering device is present in the image.
The project consists of a multi-channel video installation that invades the gallery space, and a publication edited by La Oficina de arte y ediciones with texts by Joan Fontcuberta, Alberto García- Alix, Jorge Alemán, Estrella de Diego and Román Gubern. Regarding the selection of images for the publication, these authors affirm: "What is interesting about these representations resides in how they re-elaborate two genres that enjoy a long and prestigious history in the cannon of art history: the self-portrait and the vanitas”.
The photographs that make up this installation are anonymous and have been selected from public websites. This allows for a great variety of characters and settings.

Through the looking glass un colosal proyecto de acumulación de fotografías anónimas, encontradas en Internet, que pertenecen a un nuevo género de imágenes: los reflectogramas, autorretratos tomados frente a espejos y materiales reflectantes, en los cuales el propio dispositivo de registro, se encuentra presente en la imagen.
El proyecto consiste en una vídeo instalación que invade el espacio expositivo, y que se recoge en el catálogo A través del espejo publicado por La Oficina de arte y ediciones con textos de Joan Fontcuberta, Alberto García-Alix, Jorge Alemán, Estrella de Diego y Román Gubern, quien a propósito de las imágenes seleccionadas para la publicación afirman: “El primer interés que ofrecen estas representaciones reside en que reelaboran dos géneros con larga y prestigiosa tradición en la más respetable historia del arte: el autorretrato y la «vanidad»”.
Las fotografías que aparecen en esta instalación son anónimas y han sido seleccionadas de páginas web de público acceso, lo que permite una gran variedad de personajes y escenarios.
